CLUB TOURS STONELEIGH GARDENS

Wed, September 28, 2016

The Martinsville Garden Club met on Sept. 28 at Stoneleigh, the English Tudor home of a governor that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, for a tour of the gardens. The garden was originally designed by E.S. Draper, with later designs by Charles F. Gillette. The new owners have commissioned extensive work on the gardens by Everything Outdoors.

After the tour, the club gathered in the home's capacious living room for the year's first meeting, led by President Becky Farrar.
